Bespoke Bridal Range

I didn’t set out to design bridal wear, my work evolved in that direction. I have always loved to use lace and beautiful silks in my design work and this blends itself perfectly to brides. I started producing vintage- inspired bridal scarves and accessories in 2013. I sold these through Etsy.

I produced a range of bespoke wedding bouquets and wedding crowns using tea-dyed silk, net and ribbon. The beauty of a fabric flower bouquet is that these can become keepsakes and the season plays no part in the availability of the flowers used. Staying true to my interests, I used historical costume and antique fabrics as the basis of my work.  I tea- dyed silk to age the fabric, mixed with the fabrics found in antique, junk and charity shops. ( I love the idea of re-purposing fabrics) Much of the work was by hand adding beads, old buttons and pearls.

As the sayings goes: something old, something new, something borrowed and something Blue.
